The Whippletree Road Woodland comprises approximately 3.84 acres of native broadleaf tree species, including Ash and Oak, set in a tranquil environment along Whippletree Road. The woodland is part of Middle Moor and borders a small stream along its western boundary, which falls within Flood Zone 2 along that section. Measuring 14.6 km south of Cambridge, the woodland is located on the eastern boundary of Whittlesford, connected by the M11 and A505.
