The property is 3.05 acres of productive grassland on the southeastern fringe of Barnard Castle. It is classified as Grade 3 soil, with Wick 1 series soil that is well-drained and coarse loamy with sand. The land is relatively level, at approximately 150-155 metres above sea level, and has excellent road access via a private track that adjoins Westwick Road. The land is also bounded by hedgerows and trees, and has open countryside views to the south towards the River Tees. It is well-suited to amenity and equestrian use.
