The property is a unique parcel of land in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, spanning 270-425m AOD with various landscapes including species-rich calcareous grassland, acid grassland, and blanket bog. The land includes caves known as Rowting Caves Gill, featuring limestone caverns with streams and spray vents to the surface. A Higher Tier Countryside Stewardship Agreement is in place, limiting grazing to 65 head of sheep or equivalent cattle from May to October.
