Coed Hen Doeth is a mature and dramatic woodland located in the heart of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, on the southeast edge of Llanberis. Access to the woodland is by a stone track suitable for 2WD vehicles, which leads to a streamside path and several strimmed footpaths. The woodland features a stand of Norway spruce, some of which contains excellent timber, along with a clean-flowing stream that bisects the wood and supports a variety of flora and fauna. The far side of the stream features a glorious stand of sessile oak and beech trees, as well as a rich ground flora of grasses, rushes, ferns, and mosses. The woodland also includes a few larch, Scots pine, and beehives, and offers framed views upstream and a knoll with a view of Dolbadarn Castle.
