Buteland Farm is situated on the northern edge of the Pentland Hills, approximately 2.5 miles south-west of the village of Balerno. The property spans around 250.79 Ha (619.70 Acres), offering a mix of fertile arable land and productive pasture. The farm buildings, centered just north of South Cottage, a modern 3-bedroom farmhouse, are arranged in a group and accessed directly from a public road. The farmstead features an excellent range of modern and adaptable buildings, including facilities for housing up to 550 head of cattle, as well as space for machinery, grain, and straw storage, and an outdoor silage pit. The land is well-suited for growing a variety of cereal crops and features a regular grassland rotation.
