Derskelpin Wood is a rural woodland in Dumfries and Galloway, situated in the Machars of Galloway area. The property features a mix of newly grown and regenerating trees, including Sitka spruce, Scots pine, broadleaf birch, and oak, with some areas of peat bog reaching up to 10m in depth. Along the wood's fringes, drainage channels support emerging willow, bog myrtle, and other vegetation. A small bedrock knoll with a hard standing and a rustic bench provide scenic views and a path leads to a ridestop with a hardstanding on a small rise. The woodland attracts a variety of wildlife, including deer, frogs, newts, and water creatures, as well as a mix of woodland flowers, ferns, and wetland grasses. A single-track road leads to a gated entrance, with access to the A75 Dumfries to Stranraer highway nearby. The sporting rights are included in the sale.
