Land

The property, Forge Wood, is a gently sloping site in a well-wooded area of low hills within the High Weald AONB. The woodland is a plantation on ancient woodland (PAWS) with a survey and management plan in place to return it to a full ancient woodland site. Sitka spruce trees were planted in the 1960s, but the woodland also features oak, ash, cherry, chestnut, and birch trees, as well as woodland flowers such as bluebells, wood sorrel, and wood anemone. The woodland has numerous clearings, a campfire area, and a shared use agreement for a 4x4 vehicle. The property has excellent drainage and is accessible year-round. Boundaries are defined by fencing and open tracks, with two shared gated entrances and a parking area inside the woodland.
