Nantbele woodland is a 16-year-old conifer woodland covering a flat area, primarily planted with Norway Spruce, Sitka Spruce, and mixed broadleaves, including willow. The wood has a mix of young broadleaf natural regeneration around the boundaries and in gaps among the conifers. Several small ponds are scattered throughout the area, including those created where the ground was mounded for planting. Access to the wood is via an excellent stone track suitable for vehicles year-round, leading to a clearing inside the wood with parking and stacking areas. The wood has no public access, and sporting and mineral rights are included.
