Balvarran House is a B-Listed mansion situated at an elevation of over 1,000 feet, overlooking spacious lawns fringed by rhododendrons and azaleas. The main façade faces southwest across Strathardle. The house features stone construction beneath pitched slate roofs and has been remodeled and extended by renowned architect Sir Robert Lorimer in the late 19th century. It has a private wooded driveway, electric wrought-iron gates, and a gravel courtyard at the rear. The original coach house provides living accommodation, stabling, and storage.
