The property, Rye Park Wood, is a woodland located approximately 300 meters above sea level in the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere. It is accessible via a stoned forestry track from the A399 and features a good-sized open meadow area at the south and a stream running along part of the southern boundary. The woodland consists of Douglas fir and spruce trees, many of which were planted in 2001, as well as older beech trees along the western and eastern boundaries. There are also broadleaved trees, including willows, in the lower southern part of the woodland, close to the stream. A rustic bench is situated along the eastern boundary, and there is a parking area near the entrance to the woodland.
