The property is a site with a south-eastly slope, mostly enclosed by timber post and wire fences, and an irregular shape with boundaries ranging from 14.7m to 17.9m. The site contains a below ground concrete water tank (approximately 5m x 5m) surrounded by an earth embankment, several small chambers, and a fibre glass kiosk. The site can be accessed from either the B9030 or the Stuartfield to Maud road and is situated 0.75 miles from the rural village of Stuartfield, approximately 4 miles from Mintlaw, and 11 miles from the coastal town of Peterhead.
