The woodland has a well-thinned canopy, allowing more light to reach the forest floor and promoting biodiversity. Trees in the wood are a prominent species in the Caledonian forest, known for their strength and long lifespan, with mature trees living up to 700 years. The woodland has private access and shared woodland tracks, allowing for easy traversal and access to other areas.
