Pikadole Wood is a 4-acre wood in Ancient Woodland on the North Wessex Downs. The site features mature beech trees, as well as young self-seeded holly and hazel at lower levels, with the occasional birch and conifer also present. Wide, open glades throughout the wood allow for light to pour in and offer opportunities for camping and woodland activities. The ground is flat and dry, making it easy to navigate, and the site has attractive views and plenty of sunshine. Birdlife and insects are abundant, and the wood attracts roe, fallow, and muntjac deer, as well as woodland hares.
