Land

The property is an Ancient Woodland located in the High Weald National Landscape in East Sussex, situated 7 miles west of Rye. It is situated over gently undulating loamy clays and features a mature canopy of sweet chestnut, oak, and birch, as well as hazel coppice, hawthorn, holly, and birch in the shrub layer. The woodland includes a younger area of sweet chestnut stools and a seasonal stream along the western boundary. The ground layer is populated with bluebells, wood anemone, primrose, and climbing honeysuckle, and the woodland is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, badgers, and numerous birds and songsters.
