Polesburn Wood is a 19.22-hectare (47.49-acre) property that consists of three main areas: a commercial element with felled Sitka spruce, a Hybrid larch and Grand fir area currently not restocked or ground prepared, and a mixed broadleaf area to the south comprising mostly of birch. A riparian zone along the River Ythan features a mix of willow, birch, and rowan, with some trees dating back to the 1890s. The property has a forest road upgraded for timber transport with laybys, and a second mixed broadleaf area suitable for firewood or amenity use, with an obligation to replant the felled commercial area.
