The land at Balne is situated approximately 2 miles south-east of the village of Whitley and 12 miles west of the town of Goole. It extends to 52.64 acres, consisting of 23.15 acres of arable land, 25.83 acres of grassland, and 3.66 acres of woodland. The arable land has good road frontage and access to the grassland and woodland via a culvert and underpass.
