Coed Castell is a mixed woodland located on steep ground in north-west Wales, bordering the towns of Mochdre and Colwyn Bay, and near the walled castle town of Conwy. The woodland is densely carpeted with ivy and features mature trees including scots pine, sycamore, oak, and fruiting holly, with some evergreen coverage from laurel and holly. The ground is steeply sloping with beautiful views of the mountains to the west and Colwyn Bay to the east, and access is via a public footpath from the A547 road, with various entry points along the path. A mix of dense and open areas create natural glades, and wildlife such as badgers and birds of prey can be found within the woodland.
