Kilnden Wood is a 2.4-acre Ancient Woodland in pastoral Kent, located near the town of Ashford and 7 miles from junction 9 of the M20. The woodland is situated on loamy clay soils with mostly level ground and features a mix of broadleaved trees, including hornbeam coppice, oak, sweet chestnut, ash, and poplar. The shrub layer below is home to hazel coppice, birch, thorn, and holly. A babbling stream runs along the northern boundary, and the woodland is adorned with bluebells, wood anemones, primroses, and foxgloves in the spring and summer.
