Horsepond Wood is a semi-natural ancient woodland located in The Chiltern Hills AONB, formed part of the larger Bensgrove and Abbotts Woods. The woodland has a central area with young oak, chestnut, and birch trees requiring minimal management, surrounded by wide clearings with grasses and moss underfoot. There are also mature beech and conifers to the east, north, and south, framing the woodland. The area has an open, orchard-like feel and plenty of natural light, making it suitable for group camping and woodland activities. The property has good vehicle access from the main entrance with an excellent parking area, as well as foot access via a public bridleway. The boundaries are open on all sides and staked with pink markings.
