Kinsons Plantation is a beautiful ancient woodland with access directly off the public highway in the Wye Valley in Monmouthshire. The woodland is carpeted with bluebells in the spring and features a mix of broadleaved trees including over 20% oak, beech, Douglas fir, and hybrid larch, as well as birch and other broadleaves. The wood is bounded by Meeks Hill to the southwest, the public highway to the north, an earthbank to the east, and fenced boundaries with adjacent agricultural or residential land. Access is available via two vehicular entrances and a public footpath runs through the centre of the wood. The property includes sporting rights and mineral rights, except for those excluded by statute. It is located within the Wye Valley National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and is adjacent to the Margarets Wood Wildlife Site.
