The woodland at Big Copse covers 2.41 acres (0.97 hectares) with predominantly chestnut and mature oak trees. The chestnut coppice has been managed sustainably for timber and wildlife habitat. The land has vehicular access via a shared trackway from Stapehill Road. There are no mains services connected to the property. The woodland is situated in quiet countryside, surrounded by arable land and woodland, near the East Dorset village of Hampreston.
