The woodland at Fantail Wood is a mature Ancient Semi Natural Woodland (ASNW) located near Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. It features a canopy of oak, ash, birch, and sycamore trees, with a shrub layer of field maple, hawthorn, and hazel, and a woodland floor with bramble, dog's mercury, wood anemone, and herb Robert. Access is via a stone track suitable for year-round use. The woodland is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is a thriving wildlife habitat, home to a variety of species including tawny owls, purple emperor butterflies, and Bechstein's bats.
