Land

The property is a substantial block of former meadows, pasture, and rough grazing extending to approximately 181.17 hectares (447.66 acres). The land is enclosed by impressive stone walls and serviced by natural springs and becks, including Cam Gill Beck and Dowber Gill Beck. Within the former meadows, there are two traditional stone barns, one of which has sheep handling facilities, and parts of the land have stone field boundaries and internal walls. The property includes a number of natural features, such as woodland and open-access land, and is within the Upper Wharfedale and Dow Cave SSSIs. There is also a metalled track, Scabbate Gate, which provides access to the heart of the land. The property is split into three lots: Lot 1 includes 111.83 hectares (276.33 acres) of land with two stone barns and natural spring water supply, Lot 2 includes 69.34 hectares (171.33 acres) of land with one stone barn and a natural spring water supply, and Lot 3 includes 80 sheep gaits on Great Whernside.
