The Neuadd is a mixed age commercial plantation occupying a south-west facing slope. The stocked area comprises predominantly conifers, including mature Douglas fir (planted in 1970 and 1980) and younger Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, and Scots pine (planted around 2018). The area also features small pockets of mature grand fir, red cedar, and Japanese larch. Broadleaves, including oak, cherry, beech, and silver birch, are mainly located at the western end and south-eastern corner, with most of the woodland being of ancient origin and classified as either a Plantation on Ancient Woodland Site (PAWS) or Ancient Semi Natural Woodland (ASNW).
