The sale of Wark Estate includes a prime salmon beat on the River Tweed, known as the South Wark Beat. The beat comprises approximately 2.3 miles of right-hand bank fishing on Lower Tweed, with the option to fish 1.4 miles of double bank fishing on the opposite side. The beat has nine named pools and fishes at all water heights, with four boats provided. It is currently let as a commercial rod and line fishery, with most of the fishing reserved for weekly or half-weekly tenants, but also offers excellent brown trout and grayling fishing. The beat is normally fished with two or three rods, with spinning allowed in exceptional circumstances. There are also facilities for visiting fishermen, including the Boathouse and the Fishermen's Quarters, which offers accommodation for up to six people, including a well-equipped kitchen and separate dining/sitting area. The property also includes various outbuildings, a single garage, and a small kennel range.
