A narrow footpath leads to the southern bank of Millhalf Brook, where the brook drops down several shallow falls creating pools suitable for white clawed crayfish. The woodland is mainly composed of native broadleaf trees, including oak, sweet chestnut, beech, and hazel, with understory trees and a mix of wildflowers and ferns throughout the year. A small area of hazel coppice is present, suitable for ongoing management. There are also several small ponds where newts and grass snakes have been spotted.
