Land

Wern-y-Wig is a nature reserve situated near Crymych, surrounded by woodland and with a main access track running through it. The property features four small lakes, about an acre in total, which are fed by a wet part of the wood, especially in winter. A small stream runs through the center of the land, and the lakes are home to a variety of wildlife, including blue damselflies. A one-acre meadow near the main track has been managed to favor the Marsh Fritillary butterfly, with the planting of Devils' Bit Scabious and careful grazing. The property is fenced from adjoining farmland, and the southern boundary is a hedge along the public highway. The meadow has a gateway for vehicular access.
