The Coops Beat is a single bank fishing stretch on the River Eden, approximately 750 meters long with four named pools: The Kirkpot, The Flats, The Corner, and The Coops. The beat flows through tranquil agricultural grassland and is easily wadable, except in some areas of deeper water. The named pools offer various fishing conditions, including shallow fly water, deep pools, and gravel beds, suitable for species such as Salmon, Sea Trout, Grayling, and Brown Trout.
