The forest is part of the Dallas Forest Complex and features a mix of Sitka spruce and Lodgepole pine trees, with an estimated yield class of 12-14 m³/ha/yr for the Sitka spruce and 6-8 m³/ha/yr for the Lodgepole pine. The forest was established in the 1980s and is approaching maturity, with the potential for harvesting within the next five to ten years. The property includes two attractive lochans, two open areas designed for deer stalking, and the existing wind turbine rack sites. Approximately 3 hectares of the forest were damaged by a wildfire, but the core area remains unaffected.
