The property is a 728-hectare commercial forest located 3 miles south of Maybole in Ayrshire, Scotland. It fronts Loch Craigdow and has old stone and slate pump house. The property has a strong mix of planting ages, including commercial conifers grown at Yield Class 20, and fallow areas with good retention value for future harvesting and extraction. Three principal planting phases have been successful, with the 2009 planting performing particularly well and the 2021 planting adding robust access and a significant improvement in internal access to the 2014 phase. The property also features 4.76 hectares in Cpt 22G, 22I & 22W areas to be restocked, and comes with 3,690 Pending Issuance Units under the Woodland Carbon Code. The property's outstanding features include access direct off the public highway, location of the property on woodland creation grants and past history of the growth it achieved. As the earlier planted areas are performing particularly well, the yield will increase for the first 20 years with licensed supply to the local timber market.
