Haulton Wood is a small, flat woodland with well-drained soil, located near a nature reserve and a lake. The woodland was clear-felled in 2009/2010 and restocked with a mix of trees, primarily Sitka Spruce, but also including Oak, Field Maple, Wild Cherry, and Rowan. The vegetation is diverse and has a variety of wildlife, including deer, rabbits, bats, and many species of birds. The site has a hard standing parking area and a locked gate, with a cut pathway leading into the woodland. The woodland is very flat and easily accessible for management and enjoyment, with clear signs of wildlife activity.
