Glede Wood is a compact area of mixed hardwoods located at the far end of a forest, with an open aspect to the east providing far-reaching views across farmland and the village of Lilleshall. The wood is situated on well-drained, level ground with a mix of native species including oak, wych elm, horse chestnut, and sycamore. There are shallow ponds and a variety of wildlife present, including ducks, toads, woodpeckers, owls, and woodcock. The boundaries of the wood are marked by ditches, with the northern one maintained by the local council's drainage board. The woodland floor is clear of debris and offers excellent opportunities for quiet woodland recreation.
