Land

The property is a woodlot located in the scenic Lambdoughty Glen, near the village of Straiton, Ayr. The wood is approximately 200 meters wide and 1 kilometer long, and features a 200-meter stretch of the Lambdoughty Burn, a tumbling watercourse with smooth stretches of water punctuated by waterfalls. The wood is composed of mature Sitka spruce on the higher ground and a mix of multi-aged broadleaves, including oak, ash, birch, alder, and sycamore, in the glen below. The property has extensive roadside frontage and benefits from a gate near the middle of the wood, leading to an unsurfaced track and a path down to the streamside. The wood supports a variety of bird species and has diverse habitats with native plant species.
