Steart Wood is a semi-ancient woodland located along the River Exe near Exmoor National Park, divided into two sections. The lower section borders the river, offering stunning views and scenic access to a picnic area where wildlife such as otters, kingfishers, and dippers have been spotted. The upper section rises uphill, with tracks and steps leading to a level space with expansive views, perfect for woodland activities or overnight stays. The woodland is dominated by veteran oaks, beech, sycamore, birch, hazel, holly, and yew, with a sea of bluebells in spring.
