Hobbs Wood is a 300-meter-high woodland in the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere, covering approximately 2.5 hectares of land. The site features a good-sized grass ride around the edge of the trees, leading to a large open area. The woodland has far-reaching views over the rolling hills to the north Devon coast, including Saunton Sands. The woodland is dominated by a mix of planted sitka spruce and douglas fir trees, approximately 25 years old, which are prime for thinning to open space for other trees to grow. Historic hedge banks lined with beech trees are located along the northern and eastern boundaries. The site also has a spring rising from the northern boundary, which could be developed into a pond. Access is via a stoned forestry track and stoned parking area, with no public rights of way.
