Thorntonhall Woodland is a 6.87-acre mixed species woodland situated in a rural position about a mile from the village of Thorntonhall, south of Glasgow. The woodland features a variety of tree species, including Sycamore, Beech, Oak, and Scots Pine, planted approximately 100 years ago. The site includes a redundant Lime Kiln built in 1790 and provides nesting sights and shelter for wildlife. The woodland lies between 142.8 and 156.8 meters above sea level and is primarily classified as Grade F2 land. It is bordered by public roads, agricultural grazing land, and other woodlands, and features a Lime Kiln on site.
