The Lower North Wark Salmon Fishings cover approximately 1.4 miles of left bank fishing on the Scottish side of the river, directly opposite South Wark. The fishery consists of seven named pools, including Annaside, Ferrystream, and Willows, as well as The Wall and The Cuddy Hole, which can be fished from an island. The beat fishes best at low-medium river heights and has a five-year average catch of 233 salmon and 20 sea trout. A fishing hut and a small boatman's hut are located on the beat, along with three boats. Fishing is normally done with two rods, with a boatman available until mid-September and two boatmen thereafter. The trout and grayling fishing on the beat is owned by the riparian owner, but the current owner of the Lower North Wark Fishings has a non-exclusive right to fish for indigenous species.
