The land at Craigiedarg is a 5.51-acre (2.23-hectare) paddock located north of the village of Dunecht, easily accessible from the A944. The field is fenced with a drystone dyke and has a water trough supplied by a private source. It sits at an altitude of 100 meters and has surrounding woodland providing natural shelter and shade.
